New Caledonian Armed Forces Pfc. M. Delhon, an explosive ordnance technician with 8th Airborne Troupe de Marin, shows U.S. Marines how to operate an LGI Mle F1 grenade launcher during a weapons expo as part of Exercise Croix du Sud at Plum, New Caledonia, April 24, 2023. During Croix du Sud, participants from 19 countries including service members from U.S. Army Pacific, the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force join allied and partner nations in enhancing combined interoperability through training, skills sharing, and cultural exchanges. Marines and Sailors with Combat Logistics Battalion 5 are supporting the Joint Operations Center with planners, medical subject matter expert exchanges, and a non-combatant evacuation operations team, enhancing the Marine Corps’ ability to provide logistical support to the joint force and U.S. Allies and partners in future austere operations.
