U.S. Marines aboard MV-22 Ospreys with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 268, Marine Aircraft Group 24 approach an airstrip in Peleliu, Republic of Palau, April 12, 2023. The Ospreys landed in Palau in support of U.S. Navy Seabees and Marine Corps engineers with 7th Engineer Support Battalion assigned to Marine Corps Engineer Detachment - Palau to explore alternative means of embarkation through expedient loading of MV-22 Ospreys. During this rotational deployment, Navy Seabees and Marine Corps engineers undertake infrastructure projects which benefit local populations in the Indo-Pacific region and enhance the United States’ ability to render support and aid in response to disasters or other crises.
