Master Sgt. Abby Stevenson and Tech. Sgt. Ethan Sanchez, aerial spray qualified loadmasters assigned to the 757th Airlift Squadron, run preflight checks on a modular aerial spray system aboard an aerial spray modified C-130H Hercules aircraft assigned to the 910th Airlift Wing, Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, on March 14, 2023, at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Hill AFB was the first aerial spray mission to use the 910th AW’s new electronic modular aerial spray system alongside one of the unit’s legacy MASS. The 910th AW maintains the Department of Defense’s only large area fixed-wing aerial spray capability to control disease-carrying insects, pest insects, undesirable vegetation and oil spill dispersion in large bodies of water.
