USACE Transatlantic Middle East District (TAM) and representatives from AFCENT, AFCEC, and an architecture engineering firm team meet during a planning charette and conduct a Design Based Threat Assessment (DBTA) to assess and mitigate potential threats to U.S. military facilities. The DBTA is required for any facilities being built that will be occupied by U.S. military personnel. Because TAM has developed expertise in the process, they are able to provide DBTAs as a service to their mission partners and other agencies who may require one without the need to outsource this critical step in construction.
