U.S. Marines and Sailors from 7th Engineer Support Battalion assigned to Marine Corps Engineer Detachment - Palau and Peleliu locals, gather to play a game of softball after cleaning up the town at Peleliu, Republic of Palau, March 18, 2023. Community relations events give Marines and Sailors with MCED-Palau the opportunity to build relationships with the Palauans and connect with their community. During this rotational deployment, Marine Corps Engineers and Navy Seabees continue to improve interoperability with the Indo-Pacific by undertaking infrastructure projects which benefit local populations and enhance the United States’ ability to render support and aid in response to disasters or other crises.
