230318-N-ZU848-0198 BUSAN, Republic of Korea (Mar. 18, 2023) The first US Sailors depart the amphibious transport dock USS Green Bay (LPD 20) after pulling into a port in Busan, South Korea. This year marks the 70th Anniversary of the ROK-U.S. Alliance. During the past seven decades, the relationship between the U.S. and ROK Navy grows stronger while training side by side increasing combat readiness, improving interoperability, and is an example of the ironclad commitment to support and defend the ROK sovereignty from any threat or adversary. Green Bay is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to interact and operate with Allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
