A U.S. Navy EA-18G Growlers assigned to the Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 132, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington, takes off for a Red Flag-Nellis 23-2 mission at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, March 15, 2023. The Growler is a derivative of the F/A-18 Hornet, the US Navy’s maritime strike aircraft. Its mission is mainly electronic attack and suppression of enemy air defenses, particularly at the start and on-going early stages of hostilities.
