SINGAPORE (March 16, 2023) Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Joshua Imperati, assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 35, from Poughkeepsie, New York, secures the pipes of a hydraulic fluid servicing unit while conducting maintenance on an MH-60R SeaHawk, attached to HSM-35, on the flight deck of Independence-class littoral combat ship USS Oakland (LCS 24) at Changi Naval Base, Singapore, March 16, 2023. Oakland, part of Destroyer Squadron 7, is on a rotational deployment, operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with Allies and partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
