Airman 1st Class Richard Garner, 721st Air Mobility Maintenance Group Detachment 5 crew chief, examines one of the rings in the nose landing gear assembly of a C-17 Globemaster III, Feb. 8. Before reassembling, all epoxy and hydraulic fluid must be removed for a perfect fit. Carrier aircraft transported 168,324 tons of cargo in 2007. Airman Garner is deployed from Travis Air Force Base, Calif.
