YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 8, 2023) – Operations Specialist 3rd Class, from El Paso, Texas, assigned to U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), performs a baton strike after being sprayed with oleoresin capsicum during a security reaction force basic (SRF-B) course at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, March 8, 2023. SRF-B is a three-week course that teaches rules and regulations as an armed watch stander and provides Sailors with proper weapons familiarization, tactical maneuvers and the proper use of deadly force.
