U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Virgie Merzier, a parachute rigger assigned to the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 11th Airborne Division, yells "Last Lady!" as she prepares to leap from a C-130J Super Hercules assigned to the 19th Airlift Wing, Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, during an all-women jump at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, March 7, 2023. Traditionally, the last paratrooper in each stick yells, "Last Man!" so the jumpmaster knows that all jumpers have exited. The airborne operation was held in recognition of Women’s History Month, and marked the first all-female jump in division history.
