Chief Musician James Hicks, from Lake Butler, Fla., plays tuba with the U.S. Navy Band at the Colby Event Center in Colby, Kan., while on the band’s 2023 national tour, spanning six states, sixteen cities and 3200 miles. National tours allow the U.S. Navy Band to honor veterans, their loved ones, and connect with audiences across the country as musical ambassadors, representing Sailors serving around the globe on behalf of all Americans from all walks of life.
