U.S. Marines with the air interdiction force (AIF) assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 469, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), prepare an UH-1Y Venom Helicopter to conduct Operation Aero Hunter with other Regional Command (Southwest) elements in Helmand province, Afghanistan, Oct. 24, 2012. AIF was used as a quick reaction force in support of counter-insurgency operations in southern Helmand.
