Delegates of the African Alumni Symposium visited Gettysburg National Military Park March 1, 2023. The dozens of African alumni of the Army War College listened to tour leader Col. Tom Spahr, chair, Department of Military Strategy, Planning and Operations, U.S. Army War College. Spahr shared leadership challenges facing the general officers fighting in the Battle of Gettysburgh, then asked the delegates to consider present day applications of their understanding of the famous Civil War Battle.
