An aircrew assigned to C co, 1st Battalion 126th Aviation Regiment MEDEVAC, Rhode Island Army National Guard, conduct UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter hoist qualification training, on March 1, 2023, at Big River Management Area, West Greenwich, R.I. Hoist is used to extract patients in areas that are too small for a helicopter to land. The mission of C co is to provide aeromedical evacuation support in any operational environment in order to save the lives of our Soldiers and allied partners and ensure ground combat victory.
