Airmen assigned to the 305th Maintenance Squadron use a 451P Ion Chamber to detect gamma and beta radiation exposure levels on a KC-46A Pegasus on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Feb. 16, 2023. Personnel assigned to the 305th MXS, 87th Operational Medical Response Squadron, and Office of Emergency Management participated in a four-day training exercise to learn and practice radiological contamination detection and decontamination safety techniques.
