230207-N-NH267-1012 INDIAN OCEAN (Feb. 7, 2023) U.S. Navy Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Fawn Savoie, from Houma, Louisiana, mans a rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB) as the coxswain during an exercise with the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Paul Hamilton (DDG 60) and the Indian Navy Sukanya-class patrol craft INS Savitri (P53) in the Indian Ocean. Paul Hamilton, part of the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, is in U.S. 7th Fleet conducting routine operations. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with Allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
