The American Red Cross dedicated its Fort Belvoir Headquarters building as the Major General Carl H. McNair Jr. Red Cross House during ceremonies Jan. 26. The Red Cross House has been in constant use since its construction for the Red Cross in 1941. MG McNair, an ardent supporter of Fort Belvoir Red Cross activities, served as commanding General for the U.S. Army Aviation Center in Fort Rucker, Alabama.
