Blue Ridge Sailors Conduct Medical Training

YOKOSUKA, Japan (Jan. 25, 2023) – Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Raymond Madrid, from Los Angeles, instructs Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Jaela Price, from Birmingham, Alabama, on the proper way to insert an intravenous needle during a Tactical Combat Casualty Care Course aboard U.S. 7th Fleet’s flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), Jan. 25. The Combat Lifesaver Course provides Sailors with hands-on training to ensure they are prepared to respond to medical emergencies. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, routinely interacts and operates with Allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
