230123-N-JO162-1153 MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Jan. 23, 2023) Sonar Technician 2nd Class Nicholas Mars, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer US Truxtun (DDG 103), fires an M240B machine gun at a designated target during a live-fire exercise during exercise Juniper Oak 2023-2, Jan. 23, 2023. Juniper Oak 23-2 is a bilateral military exercise, led by U.S. Central Command and the Israeli Defense Force, designed to enhance interoperability between the U.S. and Israel militaries.
