Rick Seif, commander, Submarine Group (CSG) 7, briefs students of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Intermediate Submarine Officer’s Course on the importance of the bilateral operations between the U.S. and JMSDF undersea forces at CSG 7 on board Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Jan. 19. CSG 7 directs forward-deployed combat-capable forces across the full spectrum of undersea warfare throughout the Western Pacific, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea.
