SOUTH CHINA SEA (Jan. 7, 2023) – U.S. Navy LT. Ryan Kersting-Schlimgen, a Chaplain with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 362 (Rein.), 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, interacts with Cpl. Isaiah Freeman, an avionics technician with VMM-362 (Rein.), 13th MEU, aboard amphibious transport dock USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26), Jan. 7. A force in readiness, the 13th MEU is mentally and spiritually ready to respond to crises in all domain environments. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with Allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
