On January 4, 2023, U.S. Navy Lieutenant Amanda George was awarded the Emergency Department Medical Battalion Nurse Partner of the Year by the NMCCL Emergency Department leadership.
LT George, who is a nurse with 2D Medical Battalion, was augmented to the Emergency Department for a period of time during 2022. LT George executed 780 clinical hours which helped fill critical staffing needs, ultimately ensuring
safe patient care. During her time as a nurse in the NMCCL Emergency Department, LT George trained a nurse resident and several Corpsmen.
