Spc. Justin Schneider, a UH-60 helicopter repairer, Delta Company, 3rd Battalion, 238th Aviation Regiment (MEDEVAC), adds lubrication to the gears of the windshield wipers of a Black Hawk during routine maintenance at the NH National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility, Concord, on Jan. 7.
Schneider spoke of the importance of their routine and preventive work as well as the depths to which they care for these helicopters. “Something as simple as windshield wipers can create big problems,” said Schneider. “If these cease up, we can't fly, so it’s my job to make sure that doesn’t happen.” Photos by Spc.
