U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Cameron Piechowski, 347th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment journeyman, conducts a routine equipment inspection at the 71st Rescue Squadron at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, Jan. 4, 2023. The routine 120-day inspection requires each HGU-55P helmet to be disassembled, cleaned and assessed for functionality. Each helmet contains 48 parts that must be checked individually.
