NORFOLK (Nov. 8, 2022) – Firefighting boots and helmets are stored in repair lockers aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) in preparation for casualties. During the preparation to begin basic phase, the ship undergoes damage control material assessment which is a requirement to going underway.
