PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 5, 2022) – Hospital Corpsman 1st Class James Hyles uses a medical training dummy to demonstrate how to apply a combat application tourniquet during Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training aboard amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), Dec. 5, 2022. TCCC training enables Sailors to provide first aid during shipboard casualties until trained medical personnel can reach them. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS John P.
