NORFOLK, Va. (Dec. 21, 2022) Robert Weitzman, director of Fleet Personnel Development and Allocation at U.S. Fleet Forces Command, left, presents Rick O’Rawe, director of the Norfolk Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS), with a $500 check. Weitzman and his staff found a creative way to raise the money during the command’s holiday door decorating contest, selling tickets to view a short film and good for one handmade wood-fired pizza. Tickets sold out, raising $250, which Weitzman then matched. All donations made to NMCRS are used to provide, in partnership with the Navy and Marine Corps, financial, educational, and other assistance to members of the U.S. naval services, eligible family members, and survivors when in need.
