Five-year-old Anna Romito – daughter of Lt. Col. John Romito, commander of the 1st Battalion, 48th Infantry Regiment – fires a squirt gun at a target during the react-to-contact portion of the Kids Army Field Day event Aug. 19 outside the unit’s headquarters building. The intent behind the event was to provide food and opportunities for fun – including five family friendly Soldiering skills lanes and a face-painting tent – for families of the unit prior to the restart of school.
