U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsmen with Combat Logistics Battalion 1, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, apply bandages to an injury on a simulated combat casualty during their team’s medical evaluation during Steel Knight 23 at Fort Hunter Liggett, Dec. 6, 2022. Simulated casualties are injected to test sustainment capabilities over a 72-hour period. The data collected will provide for development of future warfighting doctrine in the Force Design 2030 warfighting model. SK-23 is a 1st Marine Division led annual training exercise which enables the Navy-Marine Corps team to operate in a realistic, combined-arms environment to enhance naval warfighting tactics, techniques and procedures.
