U.S. Marines with Infantry Training Battalion, School of Infantry-West, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, wait to be released to families for Thanksgiving at SOI-West (SOI-West) on MCB Camp Pendleton, California, Nov. 24, 2022. Marines training in SOI-West are welcomed to spend Thanksgiving with families volunteering through the Home Hospitality Adopt-a-Marine Program. The program was created by the Armed Services Young Men’s Christian Association to provide warm, home-cooked meals and a welcoming family environment to service members who are away from their families during the holiday season.
