Lt. Col Christopher Thompson assumes command of the 3rd Battalion, 197th Field Artillery Regiment, 197th Field Artillery Brigade, by accepting the battalion guidon from Col. Tony Gagnon, commander, 197th Field Artillery Brigade rear detachment, during a ceremony at the NH Army National Guard Armory in Plymouth on Dec 3.
Thompson, who has dedicated more than 23 years to the NHARNG in various leadership roles and amidst multiple deployments, said he is ready to support his battalion. While addressing his formation, Thompson added, “We will work as a team to accomplish our goals and understand that I have your back moving forward.”
