STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss.— Naval Oceanography hosted U.S. Congressional staff from the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) and staff from Congressman Robert “Rob” Wittman office. Mr. Dave Sienicki, HASC Seapower Minority Professional Staff Members, Mrs. Carolyn King, Chief of Staff to Rep. Wittman, and Mr. Jay Vallario, HASC Seapower Professional Staff Member made up the delegation that visited Stennis Space Center to become familiar with the missions and capabilities of Naval Oceanography.
The delegation visited DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC), Glider Operations Center, and toured our unmanned systems static display.
Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command directs and oversees more than 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to make better decisions faster than the adversary, April 11, 2022.
