Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) engine mechanics Mark Schexnayder, left, and Travis Barclay inspect a part removed from a T408 engine, which powers the CH-53K King Stallion helicopter. The disassembly was attended by key stakeholders in the CH-53K program, who observed and collected data to fine-tune the repair process. Maintenance, repair and overhaul of the King Stallion helicopter and its components is expected to make up a significant part of FRCE’s future workload.
