HAMPTON ROADS, Virginia (April 27, 2022) - Capt. Erin Acosta, commanding officer of Fleet Weather Center Norfolk, gave a tour of the weather center to various foreign military officers visiting the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. The tour showcased Naval Oceanography’s mission and capabilities April 27. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command directs and oversees more than 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to make better decisions faster than the adversary.
