Representatives from the Indonesian Marine Corps’ 7th Infantry Battalion, 4th Marine Brigade, the Indonesian Navy, the Indonesian Customs office, the Panjang Port Authority, the U.S. Embassy Jakarta, and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit command element, I Marine Expeditionary Force, discuss planning and execution support of Keris Marine Exercise (MAREX) 23 on Indonesian Naval Base Lampung, Lampung, Indonesia, Nov. 7, 2022. Keris MAREX is a bilateral exercise conducted by the U.S. Military and Indonesian National Armed Forces led by the Indonesian and U.S. Marine Corps’. Keris MAREX aims to strengthen relationships and build interoperability and capacity among participating forces.
