U.S. Soldiers assigned to Bravo Battery, Death Dealers, 2nd Battalion, 174th Air Defense Artillery Regiment (2-174 ADA), receive medevac and hoist training from Staff Sgt. Emily K. Curran, a flight paramedic assigned to 1st Forward Support Medical Platoon, Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st General Support Aviation Battalion, 2nd Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment (2-501 AR), both operationally controlled by 1st Infantry Division (1 ID) during Operation Close Encounters field training exercise at Camp Ādaži, Latvia, Nov. 9, 2022. The 2-174 ADA and 2-501 AR are among other units assigned to the 1 ID, proudly working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America's forward deployed corps in Europe.
