FORT BENNING, Ga. – Ranger qualified Service Members across the country participate in the Combat Water Survival Assessment on day two of the Best Ranger Competition April 10, 2022. During the competition, teams traverse over 60 miles on foot with combat equipment weighing upwards of 80 pounds through various terrains, testing technical, tactical, and physical capabilities in events previously undisclosed to the competitors. The events range from small arms to anti-tank weapons and explosives employment, all aimed to determine the best of the best. (U.S. Army photo by Patrick A.
