MCLEAN, Va. (Oct. 18, 2022) - Brian Helliwell, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) eAPP product owner, briefs cleared industry security professionals on the National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) eApp at the 2022 NBIS Industry Conference. NBIS e-App contains the investigative standard forms that federal applicants and employees use to provide the necessary information to process their personnel background investigations. Helliwell was among the NBIS experts who briefed cleared industry on NBIS - the backbone of the Trusted Workforce 2.0 whole-of-government background investigation reform effort overhauling the personnel vetting process by creating one government-wide system that allows reciprocity across organizations.
