U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team, 2d Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and members of the Philippine Navy familiarize themselves with an M777 towed 155 mm howitzer during an artillery live fire exercise at Colonel Ernesto Rabina Air Base, Tarlac, Philippines, Oct. 5, 2022. The live fire exercise provided an opportunity for marines to train together, developing small unit leadership while increasing efficiency and lethality. KAMANDAG is an annual bilateral exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military designed to strengthen interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades shared experiences.
