GULF OF GUINEA (Oct. 11, 2022) -- Sailors assigned to the Angolan Navy perform a mock search of the expeditionary sea base USS Hershel "Woody" Williams (ESB 4) as part of a maritime security drill during Grand African Navy Exercise for Maritime Operations (NEMO) 2022, Oct. 11, 2022. Grand African NEMO is an annual, French-led regional naval exercise that enhances collective efforts to establish maritime security and stability in the Gulf of Guinea. Hershel "Woody" Williams is rotationally deployed to the U.S. Navy Forces Africa area of operations, employed by U.S Sixth Fleet, to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
