III Marine Expeditionary Force hosted a ceremony to honor the Navy’s 247th Birthday at Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 13, 2022. The celebration included a cake cutting, a time-honored tradition in which the oldest Sailor present passes a piece of cake to the youngest Sailor present, representing the passing of naval traditions.
