SILVERDALE, Wash. (Sept. 26, 2022) Marvin Frilles (center), the regional Navy Afloat Maintenance Training Strategy (NAMTS) coordinator for Trident Refit Facility, Bangor (TRFB), speaks to TRFB command leadership during a gemba at TRFB. The NAMTS Program was established by the Chief of Naval Operations to improve battle group organic maintenance capability and material self-sufficiency. TRFB’s core mission is repairing, incrementally overhauling, and modernizing the Pacific Fleet’s ballistic missile submarine force. Each week TRFB leadership personnel visits a different production area of the facility for a first-hand look, referred to as a “gemba”. (U.S. Navy Photo by Nick Scott)
