A suicide prevention awareness sign meant to encourage participants to keep going the distance is posted at the starting line during the Liberty County NAACP’s Suicide Prevention and Awareness Walk in Hinesville, Georgia, Sept. 24, 2022. Participants started at the SFC Paul R. Smith Army Education Center and walked approximately 4.5 miles around Hinesville before returning to the starting point. September is Suicide Prevention Month.
