U.S. Marines with 3rd Sustainment Group (Experimental), 3rd Marine Logistics Group, receive challenge coins from Japan Ground Self Defense Force Maj. Gen. Masayoshi Sakamoto, the commandant of the JGSDF Ordnance School after a presentation on Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan, Sep. 14, 2022. 3rd SGX held a demonstration for the JGSDF on the capabilities and tactical use of 3D printing technology. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III MEF’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
