HONIARA, Solomon Islands (Aug. 29, 2022) – Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Anne Crumley, from West Minister, Colorado, prepares to process blood products on a Haemonetic ACP 215 machine in the blood bank aboard Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) during Pacific Partnership 2022. The machine removes preservations from frozen blood samples to make them safe for transfusion. Now in its 17th year, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Pacific Partnership is a unifying mission that fosters enduring friendships and cooperation among many nations.
