PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 25, 2022) – Seaman Evan Sand, from Annandale, Minnesota, signals an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23 as it lifts off from the flight deck aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Barry (DDG 52) while operating in the Philippine Sea, Aug. 25. Barry is assigned to Commander, Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
