HONIARA, Solomon Islands (Sept. 8, 2022) – Members of the U.S. Navy; Australian Defence Force; Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance; National Disaster Management in Solomon Islands, and local members of the community pose for a photo during the humanitarian assistance and disaster (HADR) relief training at National Referral Hospital during Pacific Partnership 2022. HADR training allows partnering nations to strengthen capabilities and interoperability with one another in order to respond in times of need. Now in its 17th year, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Pacific Partnership is a unifying mission that fosters enduring friendships and cooperation among many nations. The year’s mission in Solomon Islands will include participants from the United States, Japan and Australia.
