U.S. Marines with India Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division stand in formation with Brazilian Marines to listen to a speech from Brazilian Marine Corps Vice Admiral Carlos Chagas, Commanding General of the Brazilian Fleet Marine Force, during a formation held during Exercise Formosa in Goias, Brazil, Aug. 05, 2022. The formation hosted 3,100 Brazilian Marines, about 20% of the total Brazilian Marine Corps force. Exercise Formosa focuses on strengthening relations and interoperability between U.S. and Brazilian Forces, conveying the enduring promise to be a trustworthy neighbor.
