U.S. Navy Sailors conduct medical checks on simulated American citizens during a non-combatant evacuation operation training aboard the Amphibious Assault Ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7) in the Philippine Sea, Aug. 10, 2022. NEO training ensures the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group is ready to receive American citizens if they need to be evacuated from a foreign country. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the Tripoli ARG in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
